Beautiful 1985 Mercedes 300SD Turbo Diesel - Charcoal exterior with gray leather interior. RUNS ON STRAIGHT VEGGIE OIL, BIODIESEL, DIESEL OR ANY COMBINATION. Trusted, German Elsbett single-tank system costing $1800 professionally installed in 2006. No need for two-tank system to clutter your trunk. This utilizes existing, factory fuel tank for ease of use. I will include Fryer-to-Fuel 55 gallon WVO filtering (5-micron) and electric home fueling system (http://fryertofuel.com) costing $550. Looks and runs great. Upgraded Mercedes 120 amp alternator to easily power the onboard fuel heaters. All new glow plugs. Rebuilt, robust veggie fuel injection pump. Components work great power windows, electric mirrors, power seats, central locking system, air conditioning (converted to R134-A), electric sunroof, cruise control, power antenna, outside temperature gauge. Odometer ceased to work January 2010 (approx. 3000 miles ago). All scheduled maintenance. New Sony CD player/stereo with remote control, but will also include original, working Becker Europa. Paint is in very good shape except for spots on hood (see pictures). Interior leather is very clean except for seam separation on top of back seat and small tear on driver side doors (see pictures). Analog clock does not work, but there is a digital one on the stereo. No accidents. Non-smoker. Clean title. Tires in great shape. Need newer car for long, out of state commute each week. (1) I heard that Merecedes pre-1980 used rubber seals in the engine and that VO might wear down these seals faster (ie. lowering life expectancy of engine). Is this an issue I should be concerned about?

Hello my name is Brett and I am wondering what I need to purchase and where I need to start. I have been looking a little online and se a lot of kits avaliable but I want to know can I build my own what problems will I run into and what precautions I need to take. Which is the best single tank conversion? I have an older MBenz--126 and would like to ask those who have already converted. Is the single tank OK for cooler climates? Thank you for your suggestions.

"Well, I’ve made a significant change to my WVO design. My original plan was to have 2 seperate fuel tanks. The first would contain regular petro diesel, and the second tank would have WVO with a heat exchanger (see below). With this plan, the vehicle is started on the diesel, and once the WVO has warmed up to coolant temp, the fuel path is switched to start injecting pure veggie oil. On Sunday I ran some viscosity experiments in the lab, and found that by blending diesel and WVO together, I can pour the mixture into my single existing tank and run it direct. I started with a 25% WVO/ 75% diesel, and found it ran quite nice. [...]"
