This is a 1985 Mercedes 300 Turbo Diesel. It has been converted to run on waste vegetable oil (WVO). The car is in phenomenal shape for a 1985 Mercedes. $5900 OBO

Features include:
- power steering
- power windows
- power sunroof
- power mirrors
- cruise control

I also installed a new upgraded radio about 6 months ago. It's amazing! It has AM/FM, CD, Aux input and an ipod cable in the dashboard. The cable allows you to control your ipod through the radio so you don't have to pull it out of the glove compartment. It also charges the ipod while it's plugged in. Right now I also have a Sirius radio in the car that goes through the Aux input.

The interior is all leather and in great shape for a 1985. There are 2 small tears that aren't spreading.

I am only the second owner of this car and have taken very good care of it. Compared to most other cars out there that are this old, it's in great shape.

Over the past 2 1/2 years I've done some major repairs to keep it in great shape. If you are really interested I can give you a complete list of repairs. The tires are less than a year old. All work has been done my a mechanic who specializes in working on old Mercedes.

As for the WVO conversion. This is a Love Craft conversion kit. It's been great during the past 2 + years. If you are truly interested I can tell you why I chose a Love Craft kit over a Greasecar kit. This is my second WVO vehicle, so it was a researched decision and I've been very happy with the Love Craft kit. Greasecar has two separate tanks, but this Love Craft uses a single tank. The WVO goes right into the regular fuel tank. You can mix diesel and WVO. Any ratio works. I get my oil from a local pizza place for free and filter in my backyard. I'm willing to share my filtering secrets with the person who buys the car and even pass on any leftover equipment/oil I have at that point.

I am trying to find a new owner for Bless the bus! Canada won't let me import because of an rv conversion to a school bus...oy! She only has 92K on her, 6.2 ltr engine, 19' ft short, w/ propane/12volt fridge, propane stove/oven, sink with water tank, propane heater, removable queen sized sleeping platform, 60 gal custom veggie oil tank, successfully running waste veggie oil for 4 years. By the time you can actually find a short diesel bus with low miles, make an rv conversion, and then a veggie oil conversion, you're looking at my $17K value. For sale is a 1984 Mercedes 300D Turbo Diesel with a "greasecar" kit installed and working well for many thousands of miles. This is not the prettiest Mercedes out there, but it is a workhorse that runs great on WVO. The mileage is about 290,000 but for those of you that know, there's a lot of life left. The car cruises easily at highway speeds and shifts smoothly. It currently gets around 25 mpg. It has the standard greasecar kit with the 13 gallon tank in the spare tire compartment.

All the windows and door locks work. It has a working aftermarket stereo. All the lights work. I have replaced the starter and the muffler/tailpipe. I have an extra cv axle and water pump that goes with the car. The front brakes were done in Feb 2009 and the battery was replaced shortly before that.

The car does need some work. Most importantly, the engine mounts need to be replaced. The car has a rocking idle especially on diesel. It is much quieter on veggie. It has an oil leak at the valve cover gasket. The seal between the driveshaft and the rear differential is leaking. The horn doesn't work but I have a new set of horns and the wiring that go with the car. The flashers don't work either.

The body has some rust at each of the wheels. There is a dent in the passenger side fender. The driver's seat has a rip and the dash has the expected cracks. The rest of the interior is in good shape and the original first aid kit is still in the car.

This car is currently near Missoula, Montana and I am not interested in delivering it any substantial distance. If you have any questions or want to arrange to see the car, please call 530-643-0857 and ask for Josh.

I live in Spokane, WA and am looking for ready to use WVO. Does anyone know where I can buy some?

I've got about 10-15 gallons of unfiltered canola and canola blended oil in a 55 gallon PE drum. If you can come pick it up, you can take it. I've got a coupla 5 gallon pails that I was using to collect from restaurants and other items for a grease car.

I had an Elsbett single tank conversion kit professionally installed on my 2001 VW Golf TDi. Recently I had the kit professionally un-installed to sell it in order to fund repairs unrelated to running veg oil on the same.

Complete kit comes with bored out injectors, manual, most of the hoses, all of the filters (plus another new replacement filter)/warmers, and electronics. Kit was run for about 60k miles. Asking for $700, paid $2700 installed three years ago.

I presume that the kit is ready to install on any Mark IV, 4 cyl VW's (99-03), but I advise you to ask your mechanic first. Most of the components of the kit are universal, you may have to invest in some different electronics and certainly new injectors to run this on a different make or a car with more cylinders.

In case you aren't familiar; the Elsbett single tank conversion kit is available as on option in VW showrooms in Germany. The kit uses the car's original fuel tank, and allows you to run on WVO, Biodiesel, or Petrodiesel in any combination. It adds a couple of elements to warm up (and therefore thin out) and filter the WVO as well as some new relays to keep the glow plugs on longer at start up and retard the timing a little so the oxygen sensor doesn't freak out when VWO hits the injector rail.

I was able to use straight WVO as long as overnight low temps stayed above 50 f. Cooler than that and I started blending in petrodiesel. Below freezing, I used straight petrodiesel. The car got 44mpg hwy before conversion. 39 after. 30 when running straight WVO, but it was free!
