LOS ANGELES-Mercedes Benz Turbo Diesel Wagon NEW TRANSMISSION Biodiesel Runs Great
I am a former veggie car dealer and am currently a biodiesel consultant & locator who is VERY familiar with these classic Mercedes Diesels and this one is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic shape!! I am selling this awesome 82' Mercedes wagon for my mechanic of 4 years who doesn't have the time or desire to be bothered selling it. He just installed a fully warranteed $3000 NEW TRANSMISSION, fully repaired and serviced the rear hydrolic suspension, installed a new antenna, did an oil and filter change, got 4 brand new tires, Freshly charged the AC system, had the front seat's vinyl recoated making them look new, fixed oil leaks, and had the wagon freshly detailed inside and out. The original paint looks great, very shiny and buffed with a few minor blemishes. The body is completely straight with no major dents and no accidents ever. The carpets have been steam cleaned and look good. The dash has some cracks but nothing horrible and still looks good. EVERYTHING on this wagon is in fully working order. All electric windows, int/ext lights and gauges are %100 functional. There is a manual sliding moonroof, cassette stereo, and tons of cargo space when you fold the middle seats down. The car has an original 190,200 miles on a fully working odometer which is considered LOW miles in the diesel engine world. They can go up to 500k with proper maintenance and care. This wagon was very well cared for and you can tell. It handles great, is fun to drive and very reliable. I will provide you with my mechanics phone number so you can speak to him yourself to verify the repairs. This is the safest choice on craigslist for a classic Mercedes Benz Turbo Wagon. The title is clear and it's registered until NOV 09. $6200 or best reasonable offerPlease email me a contact number and I'll call you asap. I am free to show the wagon at anytime. I am in Beverly & Vermont area of LA. The mechanics shop is in Santa Monica.
1981 Mercedes 300TD Wagon – $1500 OBO
Affectionately known as The Badger, this diesel wagon is looking for a good home with someone who can give her some love. She's got a great engine, and is a happy hauler.
She DOES have some issues, however, which include non-working heat, a bent tie rod, a slow brake fluid leak, a non-working odometer, and some rear and dashboard light problems. Odometer stopped working a couple years ago at 195,000, so we estimate she's got about 200,000 under her, um, belt. So this great, loveable, old car will need some attention -- attention that her current caregivers aren't in a position to give -- but she's a trooper, and we're sad to see her go.
We're asking $1500 for The Badger, but are willing to negotiate - especially with a good, loving family! The Badger currently lives in Boston -- please contact us at kellycreedence@yahoo.com more information. The Badger can't wait to meet you.
P.S. See her craiglist posting for pictures: http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/933426997.html

Which is best WVO tank for Mercedes wagon?
I want to convert my 1987 Mercedes 300TDT diesel wagon to run WVO using a two-tank system, but I don't want to sacrifice the space in the rear of my station wagon. I'd like to install a WVO tank in either the spare wheel well or in the space occupied by the folding third seat (the space should fit a 14 gallon tank). Is anyone aware of a WVO tank in the shape of a either 1) spare tire but works in the vertical position or 2) a tank that could fit in the space used for the third seat cushion(approx. 34 inches x 14 inches x 7 inches)? thanks
