MPG on large WVO diesel engines

I am considering buying a large 4x4 diesel and converting to run on WVO, to be used mainly for towing and cross country trips. I was wondering what types of MPG people are getting from WVO on the larger truck engines (mainly for planning purposes, i.e. WVO fuel storage, miles b/w stops, etc)?

4 Cylinder Cummins B Diesel Engine on WVO

There is a straight-4 cylinder Cummins B diesel engine that comes in 3.3L and 3.9L sizes.

Wikipedia says the B4.5 is used in agricultural vehicles, while the B6.7 is used in passenger engines. Anyone heard of the B4.5 used in passenger cars or trucks? Would it run on wvo? Is there a 4 cylinder Cummins that is already in passenger vehicles?

I know the Cummins B, especially, is one of the better diesel engines for wvo, but it would be cool if there were one that got really good mpg! Thanks for any links or comments!!

MPG on vegetable oil

I'm doing a big essay for school on ease and costs of using vegetable fuels and was wondering what the typical mpg is on a vehicle running on straight veggie oil using a convertor. I want to compare costs since veggie oil is about 9$ a gallon. I'm 16 and am also interested in using this method when I buy my dad's car :D

Best MPG WVO Vehicle is a VW Rabbit?

Would I be correct to guess that the best mpg wvo vehicle is an old VW Rabbit or a version of it like the VW pickup? I hear the pickups get around 45-50mpg, which is better than almost all cars produced today.

Is there wvo road vehicle out there (motorcycles excluded) that gets better mpg that the VW Rabbit?

High MPG on WVO w/ FIVS Gen

Would it be possible to run any of the FIVS Gen on grease? It looks cool, but I don't know anything about fabricating this type of machinery. Anyone have a thought?

I hear one of the best skoolie (school bus) diesels to buy for dependability is the International Navistar DT/466.

Does anyone know what kind of miles per gallon this engine gets? Would it get the same on grease? Thanks

Best Diesel MPG Vehicle for Mobile Living

hi, i'm looking for a vehicle than could house one (potentially two) for life on the road. i know the mpg for larger buses and trucks like internationals, freightliners, etc., are quite low - like between 5-10 miles per gallon.

does anyone know of a good vehicle that gets good mpg, a diesel (of course cause it's gonna run wvo) that is big enough to sleep in?

or shall i say, what diesel rv (or box truck or passenger van or bus) gets the best mileage per gallon of diesel fuel?
