Flat Plate Heat Exchanger

Tags: links inline

Here it is--for less than $100 you can heat your Car's waste oil fuel from 140°F to 180°F before it enters the injection pump! We have been running road tests on this 16-plate heat exchanger and have had great results. Email me and I will send you my notes on my most recent veggie road test.
Some of you bought a WVO kit from one of the many kit supplers and some of you just cannot afford $2,000 to $5,000 for a veggie conversion kit. Maybe you only paid $1,500 for the whole car; maybe your uncle passed away and left you his old diesel Mercedes; or maybe your girlfriend/wife/signifant other bought a diesel car at a garage sale and now your job is to convert the damned thing to run on veggie oil. Whatever your reason for stopping here and looking at this ad, know this: With some time and effort, it will work. It will help the kit you already bought get your WVO fuel up to 160°F before getting to the injection pump (some of the kits out there only get the WVO up to 120°F--maybe--on a good day). Anyway, most of you reading this ad are putting together your own WVO systems. You will need this part; it saves space under the hood and it works. Here is the data on the 16-plate copper brazed heat exchanger (see below). We also can get you a price quote on a 16-plate in nickel if you prefer. For your truck or bus, we have a 26-plate heat exchanger. Email me with any questions. Thanks for looking!

WVO, Kerosene and Gasoline Mixture in 1985 Suburban Diesel

Tags: links inline

I've just started running a mixture of WVO Kerosene and gasoline in my 85 Suburban and have had no problems so far with a mix as high as 65% WVA.

I'm using a heat exchanger just after the stock mechanical lift pump and a PH8-A oil filter after that and before the stock filter. No second tank yet but I keep the block heater plugged in when the truck is not in use and have attached a 10 ohm resitor to the stock rectangular fuel filter. The resistor is powered by the trucks batteries. This system has been working fine so far in moderate weather but I intend to install a second tank this week.

"Here are some pictures of my dad's 300 SD that we converted. We started working on it Monday, and by Sunday we were on vegoil. I worked during the week, and dad would pick up bits & pieces during the day. Our timing for the project was a little off,mit turned out to be an incredibly busy week at work, and I had to work late a few times. At night we'd plug away making heat exchanger, tank etc... Big push was on by Friday... By Friday night we had everything wired and mapped out. Also had heat exchanger completed and had begun to run fuel lines. By Saturday night we had fuel lines run to front of car to engine compartment, and Pollack valve installed with all diesel lines. On sunday we finished our cuts into the cooling system, installed the tank, installed the fuel pump, double and triple checked everything. At about 8 PM we flipped the switch."
