This vehicle starts every time and runs very well. I installed a FrostHeater brand block heater for easy cold weather starts. Just plug it in (I set it on a timer) and the engine turns over immediately. It also enables you to make the switch to veggie oil sooner and helps you get heat inside the car much quicker.

As the pictures show, the car is very clean for a vehicle with almost 158,000 miles and has no major issues. I drove this car over 100 miles a day for years. The turbocharger was replaced with an OEM unit at 144,000 miles. The starter was replaced at 137,000 and the glow plug relay at 121,000.

VW diesels are legendary for going forever, and this car is still going strong. But obviously a car with with high mileage like this is going to have a few blemishes, and I've tried to capture them in the pictures. You probably won't notice them while you're DRIVING FOR FREE on used vegetable oil! The clearcoat has peeled off the tops of the mirrors. The headlight lenses are a bit cloudy. The chrome cap on one of the headlights has popped off and is laying inside the headlight housing. There are a few scuffs and scratches and a small rust spot on the edge of one wheel-well. The lid on the center armrest is detached, but I have a replacement unit. It just needs to be installed. Did I mention you can DRIVE FOR FREE on used vegetable oil?

hello! our truck is no longer starting, and we are being told by the mechanic in coalinga, california (near fresno) that it needs the injection pump replaced. it just had a whole lot of work done, including: new starter, new lift pump, new fuel lines beneath manifold (new gaskets), and a pair of new batteries (and two tires in decent shape just put on a few days ago). the body has about 236,000 miles on it, but the engine & transmission were replaced at 100,000. the truck has an upgraded Voyager trailer breaking system, as well as a Greasecar vegetable oil setup w/ 40 gallon heated tank installed. we are asking $1900 OR BEST OFFER. the body has dents and needs a cleaning. it has a topper w/ temporary wooden door replacement, and the bed and exterior of the grease tank need to be cleaned of all the veg oil debris that has accumulated back there. the whole thing needs a good cleaning (inside and out). it leaks some motor oil, and requires a new dipstick (still has the old one, but the handle broke off). just yesterday the passenger window stopped rolling down.

I have a 2002 black vw golf TDI 2 dr 5 speed with 95000 miles on it for sale. This car has been converted to run on veggie oil (SVO, WVO) using the greasecar system. This means that you can collect use oil from restaraunts, filter it, and run your car for free. The car is in excellent condition mechanically. I recntly have replaced the glow plugs, brakes, shocks, oxygen sensor, tire rods and I change the oil every 3000 miles using full synthetic oil. Average mpg is 43-50. The grease car system works great especially in the warmer months. I have a computer installed that allows the driver to switch to and from diesel and veggie oil at a push of a button. The computer also gives an array of temperatures and fuel levels and automatically flushes the system when you reach your destination. There is also a zerostart block heater installed. The car runs great and has a lot of power. $14,000 OBO. All offers considered.

i bought an older used Greasecar system that came out of VW Jettta. I plan to install it in my '91 MB 300D.
i contacted Greasecar to buy the installation manual, they will not sell it to me since i am not the original owner.

does anyone on this list have a copy of the installation manual and will be willing to send me a soft copy?

My friends just purchased a greasecar kit for a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta. Trouble is he lost his manual in a behemoth pile of whopper wrappers and well-used girly mags (just kidding really) and he cannot seem to figure out how to find information on wiring; just the wiring of his vehicle. Does anyone have a schematic or diagrahm or .pdf or scanned immage for the wiring procedure of the old-fashioned controll model (the two button pannel)?
