Greasecar WVO/SVO filtration system--new in box (MA/CT)

Complete SVO filtration system, purchased from Greasecar.com for $910 and never used. (There are no problems with it; but I have stopped running my Jetta on grease.) I'm asking $750 OBO.

"The 110 VAC stationary fuel filtration kit heats and filters oil up to 18 gallons per minute and down to one micron. This simple system can fit in the corner of your garage and will allow you to keep your vehicle filled up with clean vegetable oil even in the chill of winter.

"With Greasecar's home fueling station, filling your vehicle is simpler and quicker than going to the gas station. Operation is a breeze; pour used vegetable oil into the 55 gallon barrel (not included), turn on the barrel heater to warm the oil. Once the oil is warmed to between 100-150F the heater is turned off and the pump is turned on to flow the warmed oil right through the bag filter housing to transfer clean oil to your vehicle or storage containers at a rate of up to 18gpm."

Kit includes:
110 VAC 18 gallon per minute fuel transfer pump with inlet strainer, over pressure bypass and wall mounting bracket.
120 VAC silicone thermostat controlled 55 gal barrel heater. Adjustable thermostat allows high heat for quick warm-up or lower settings for steady heating.
Aluminum bag filter housing rated for 25 gallons per minute and 300psi with steel stand.
Pressure gauge for monitoring filter quality.
Dispensing nozzle with trigger lock.
Reinforced 1 inch I.D. suction and discharge hoses
3 bag filters (10-5 micron nominal high capacity , 5-1 micron nominal high capacity and 5 micron nominal. )

New To Bio-Fuels PLEASE HELP!

I am trying to start a mobile business and I really want to go green with it. Unfortunately, I have no idea what I'm doing. I have a restaurant that will give me WVO but I dont know how to convert that into a usable fuel.
I need to know what equipment I need, how to get the oil from one place to another, and how to filter and convert it.

Can anyone help me!?

WVO needed for cross-country trip!

Hi! We're roadtripping across the country from Maine to Oregon in a VW Golf running on veggie oil! We're not doing this until late August-early September, but we're trying to get a head start on oil.

We're looking for free, unfiltered wvo that anyone might be willing to share in the states we're passing through:

Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland/DC, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California, and Oregon.

We haven't mapped out our specific route yet, so any offers would be much appreciated so we can get an idea of what's out there. If you're near a national park in one of these states, it's a good bet we'll be passing through there!

We'd also appreciate any advice on on-the-go filtration systems. We're completely new to the process in general, having just bought the car, so any ideas/tips/suggestions would be so helpful!

And if you're feeling especially helpful, tell us you're favorite place along this route! Obscure would be best, since we've got the Niagara Falls and Grand Canyon type of stops covered.

Thanks so much :D

sell sinonsh808 ger used oil regeneration system

NSH GER used oil regeneration system is particularly suitable to filtering used internal-combustion engine oil including diesel engine oil, gasoline engine oil and used hydraulic oil, other used machinery's lubrication oil.

Lousy oil filtration; not so lousy?

Yesterday I was speaking with someone who has been driving a diesel on WVO for four years while barely filtering his oil. He pours it once through a T-shirt and calls it a day. He held up the shirt and it was like looking at a constellation; lots of little pinholes of light.

He does say that he changes his filter and pre-filter every couple of tankfulls, but at a couple of bucks a pop it seemed easier to him than filtering down to 5 microns.

If filtering is so important, why isn't this guy's car a mess!?

Also, he doesn't have a two-tank system. He pours straight WVO into his regular tank if night temperatures are anything above freezing. When it's colder he blends 50/50.

Thoughts?

Grease filtration and cold temperatures

I'm wondering about the filtration process. What kind of setup would a person need to filter and use waste veggie oil? What is used for collecting and storing oil? Also, I live in Canada where it gets extremely cold during the winter months. Can a veggie system be reliable in -35 degree weather?

Golden Fuel - One Shot Filtration/pump unit and best conversion kits

Hi all,

Just got a 2002 f-350 and an looking forward to burning WVO. I'm not much of a mechanic so I am looking for some advice from folks with more experience.

I am interested in hearing from folks who have tried the various conversion kits and the Golden Fuel - One Shot Filtration/pump unit.

Filtering WVO right in to the vehicles fuel tank sounds too good to be true. How well does it work. Anyone have any experience building a similar unit with a hand pump?

There are a number of manufacturer of conversion kits. Does any one have a preference?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

My WVO Experience: Refining The Fuel Filtering Process

Lots of great pics. Thanks Tonya!

"Check out my new prefiltering system in action - 10 gallons in 10 minutes including set up and tear down!

I'm in no rush during rush hour ...

I used to use an electric 12V fuel transfer pump that I had brilliantly wired a plug into my trunk. As you can see below, I would tie up one or two 5 micron filter socks to a regular camera tripod and let gravity do the work for me. It was a waiting game, taking about four 5 micron filter socks and 2 hours to setup/filter/cleanup 40 gallons of oil. I would use the 12V pump to transfer dirty grease into the filter socks, then use it again, saving my back, saving my back, to transfer the filtered grease from the catch buckets into my tank or storage containers.

Filter sock filtration is effective, no doubt. It was a bit messy though when the wind would blow droplets of oil off the sock and onto ... anything nearby. Hence, I took to filtering my oil on waste cardboard boxes (don't leave a mess in parking lots if you want to be welcomed back, Oilers!) and as you can see, my radiant blue mechanics suite assured my short skirts stay pink like they are supposed to. Nevertheless, I was rubbing grease off the side of my car and because I do not drive a beater, but a fine Punkass, ended up waxing my finish about twice as often as I would otherwise deem necessary."
