Complete SVO filtration system, purchased from Greasecar.com for $910 and never used. (There are no problems with it; but I have stopped running my Jetta on grease.) I'm asking $750 OBO.

WVO Centrifuge filtration unit for sale. Never buy another filter. Comes with filter, heater, presure gauge and pump. You will need to supply the barrell of WVO, then just plug it in. This is a unit that I personally used for about 6 months. It is in perfect working order and produces clean filtered WVO.

I also have my WVO conversion kit still on my wrecked 86 mercedes, if your interested in my kit. The car is beyond repair but the kit was unharmed. The conversion kit was built from parts I purchased from Greasecar. The fuel tank is a custom built tank from an original mercedes fuel tank. Includes heat exchanger.

hi,
wondering if anybody knows of a cooperative in the d.c area that either sells or provides filtration services for waste vegetable oil. i'm planning to convert my car, but don't think i'll have the funds to be able to purchase the filtration system just yet. seems like there's a market for this down here, but can't find anyone. there's a few biodiesel coops, but can't find anything for wvo.
any help would be be appreciated. really looking forward to getting on the grease wagon!

NSH GER used oil regeneration system is particularly suitable to filtering used internal-combustion engine oil including diesel engine oil, gasoline engine oil and used hydraulic oil, other used machinery's lubrication oil.

Looking for used fryer oil,,,save on dumpster fees and stay in compliance, go green and recycle it. Save the planet

I have been running vehicles on wvo for three years and using the same filtering set up for two years. I have used the same filters on my vehicles for three years. The filters on my current wvo burner are getting clogged after only 15-20 gallons used. I don't have a clue what is going on. Any advice?

I have a used Frybrid conversion kit (15 gallon round tank) with all components for sale, as well as a filtering system including a really nice small aluminum filter housing, a 120v pump, and a 20 gallon custom built aluminum tank with a water heater element built in. I also have a collection system consisting of a 12v DC pump with a cigarette lighter plug on it with a priming bulb and strainer on the end, perfect for pumping from barrels or dumpsters, has about a 20ft hose on the suction end. I am willing to part these all out so if you are interested in any one piece let me know!

1 micron prefilter bags are ideal to filter waste vegetable oil. You can make several filter socks out of one tube ! Or you could make the mother of all wvo filters!!! We have a limited quanity of surplus Seamless Tube filter socks. Each one has a 5" hoop on one end... Anyway great price and like I said we have a limited quantity so order one or buy a box of 8 and stock up before they are gone!!

OK I am setting up my WVO system and am still undecided on my filtering system, Main filter and on car. I guess it is a toss up between the bag style filters and the drop in cylinders. I have a couple questions though. First off how many microns are those cylinder water filters they sell at wall mart for water. they are 3 for $7 so if I coould work those into the system that would cut costs. Also I had an Ide, Mcmaster sells a screen sampler kit in which you can buy 10 6"X6" stainless screens ranging from 18X18 to 60X60 mesh size (openings per linear inch) (PN 92405T15) or ranging from 70X70 to 500 X500 (PN 92405T17) I was thinking these screens could be setup in series to filter alot of the greae, I figure the 500X500 would get down into particulates then just finish it off with a 5 micron poly filter.The stainless screen could probably be easily cleaned to be used over and over. I'm just throwing stuff out there I could be totally off on this but thats why I am getting some of your o

What does everyone think about this deal.

Say you are a restaurant owner or heavy user of vegetable oil and you have a lot of waste oil to get rid of. Most people are beginning to realize that they can filter their own oil instead of paying to have it taken away.

Do you think a restaurant owner would let me (or anyone) filter their oil for them, and take a commission in oil for the service?

So say Joe Restaurant Owner has a 50 gallon tank of waste vegetable oil, but he doesn't want to filter it, but he has a diesel and would like to use it to drive or make a blow torch or something.

If I filtered it for him, and took half, am I being too greedy? Or is this a good deal?

"The following is a cheap and easy 4 step method.

1 - Ask every place with a fryer near you if they want "free fryer grease removal." Then tell them to give it to you in the original jugs it came in. Do not accept anything but fryer oil - no water, no soap, and no grease-trap material. It should look like maple syrup. This will give you a lot of 4.5-gallon jugs filled with used fryer grease. Let them sit for at least two days and most of the large particles will settle out. A warm cube of WVO facilitates the settling of particles (food and water). A warm spot in the sun is great during decent weather, or in the winter you can simply place your cubes on an electric blanket for a few hours. [...]"

I'm in no rush during rush hour ...

I used to use an electric 12V fuel transfer pump that I had brilliantly wired a plug into my trunk. As you can see below, I would tie up one or two 5 micron filter socks to a regular camera tripod and let gravity do the work for me. It was a waiting game, taking about four 5 micron filter socks and 2 hours to setup/filter/cleanup 40 gallons of oil. I would use the 12V pump to transfer dirty grease into the filter socks, then use it again, saving my back, saving my back, to transfer the filtered grease from the catch buckets into my tank or storage containers.

Filter sock filtration is effective, no doubt. It was a bit messy though when the wind would blow droplets of oil off the sock and onto ... anything nearby. Hence, I took to filtering my oil on waste cardboard boxes (don't leave a mess in parking lots if you want to be welcomed back, Oilers!) and as you can see, my radiant blue mechanics suite assured my short skirts stay pink like they are supposed to. Nevertheless, I was rubbing grease off the side of my car and because I do not drive a beater, but a fine Punkass, ended up waxing my finish about twice as often as I would otherwise deem necessary."

hi, i read a lot about how hard it is to get the water out of wvo. has anyone developed a method for easy water removal from wvo? i've read that burning wvo w/ water in it will damage your injection pump real quick. thanks for any tips.
