I've got a 1982 Mercedes Benz 300D Turbo Diesel for sale. It's an automatic and has 220,000 miles. It runs great and has a professionally installed Greasecar kit.
The car has been very well taken care of mechanically. I have over $3000 in service receipts in the last couple years:
complete brakes all around (new hoses, discs, pads & reman. calipers)
transmission service (filter & flush)
rebuilt front end (tie rods, lower control arms)
four new tires
I am living in South Africa where I have just bought a Toyota Land Cruiser HJ45 1980, 6 cylinders in-line, 3.6l. I would like to make it running with w.v.o. and I have already bought my first 40 liters of oils from the chips restaurant at the corner of my street. Is there anyone that can inform me about the filtration and the % that I can put straight in my engine without any modification? Is there any damage for the engine by using w.v.o.?
Best regards from the tip of Africa!
Due to move cross-country, no time to set up filtering system or establish collection network, a need for more trunk space, and a wife that wants a different car - I'm selling my 2002 Jetta TDI with a Greasecar WVO Conversion already installed. Specs:
I jumped the gun and started collecting oil before I even had a running vehicle. Some of it is already filtered and some of it has yet to be filtered. The boxes are unmarked. It's fryer/veggie oil. I probably have 200 gallons of it or so on hand right now. More coming weekly.
I live in south Texas and I'm rebuilding a 87 samurai and stuck on which diesel to use. I liked the 1.9 be but everyone wants 2200 for a complete motor. Next is the 4bt and I heard of bad driving characteristics. So now I'm leaning towards a Mercedes 5cyl but still doing research. I plan to run on diesel, motor oil and vegetable oil. I also plan for it to be a daily driver and it has a lift and mud tires and I may go bigger. It will never see rocks just mud or sand on occasion.
