1991 Ford F350 7.3 na IDI Diesel 0nly 56k miles 4x4 WVO filtering station incl. Houston Tx

Robust 1991 F350 single cab 4x4 with only 56,000 miles. The engine runs like new!. She is smooth on the highway and I am sure she will be at home off road if need be. She burns no oil-no blowby. The 5speed manual tranny allows low RPM cruising. The seat and glass are excellent, there are no cracks on the dash. Body is tight and straight-no rust! AC is all there but does not kick in.
Truck stands tall and tires have plenty rubber. Equipped with a heavy duty rear bumper with hitch. This IDI non-turbo 7.3 engine is very friendly to WVO (waste vegetable oil) I have been running my diesels for about 6years at a fuel cost of about .70cents per gallon . I can set you up with everything to make fuel. Please, if you are just curious please search the internet regarding WVO as a fuel. Vegetable oil processing station included for you to make your own fuel. Only serious prospects please. $4500 OBO

Help me improve my Isuzu Npr Mpg!

I own a 1994 isuzu npr with 115,000 miles on it. I bought it back in 2001 and it had 110,000 on it when i got it. I drove it from 01-05 not much and let it sit for 2 yrs but would start it and drive it down the street every 3-months.
I have since been driving it again from feb 08 till now. It runs awesome turbo works great, but I cant seem to get better than 12mpg and thats never breaking 55mph either if i do im about 11mpg, it will hit 75mph. I would love to get 15mpg+ any suggestions??? I did notice a small black ring on the out side of my exhaust tip like carbon bild up!

Help! Beginner planning a WVO conversion

I'm a beginner at conversions and cars in general, but I'm looking to convert a car to diesel as sort of a summer project. I turn 15 this summer and get my permit and I really wanted to skip the whole $3.25 / gallon of gas/diesel deal and go straight to W.V.O. I have my parents permission to do this conversion as long as if it doesn't work out i have to pay the diesel prices. I have several questions/concerns that i need to have answered before i begin this:

1. What car is the best for conversions? Mercedes?? (not SUV or Truck)
2. Should I get a kit or is it easier from scratch?
3. Whats the deal with high mileage? in other words: How many mile will a diesel engine run?
4. What are the most important things to remember when I'm buying the car?
5. What are the most important things to remember when I'm converting the car?
6....

and anything else that I need to know before I begin.

Got a dumb question.

What would keep me from hooking up a diesel generator up to my "on grid" home and running it on WVO to produce more power than I consume.

Theoretically a 9Kw generator ran 20 hours a week could actually MAKE money through my states mandatory net metering program.

Hurdles Include:

1. Finding a diesel generator that will run on WVO

2. Finding an unlimited supply of WVO (Done)

3. Hooking up the system to my "on grid" home

4. Actually asking someone experience in electrical matters if this is feasible.

1991 F-350 home conversion

Hi I was wondering on how to do a home made conversion for running WVO in my truck. Heres what I thought of doing, I have dual tanks, so I would put a rubber oilpan heater up under the tank to heat it and use a power inverter to run it, then on the fuel line put a goldenrod filter inline and replace the fuel lines with the solvent resistant ones. I would start it up on petroleum diesel and run it for about 10 minutes then switch to the waste oil, then on shut down switch back to petroleum diesel, I live in Alaska so I might not be able to run it in the winter right? becuase it will harden up and clog?

Where are the Diesel WVO Hybrid Electric Vehicles?

I can't believe that in the year 2006 planet earth hasn't come up with a vehicle that actually gets good mileage - like close to 100 mpg. It just seems strange that with all the technology and computers there are no vehicles that get good mileage.

For one, wouldn't the best mpg vehicle be a diesel/wvo hybrid electric? I'm no rocket scientist, but can it really be that hard to design?

Are there any community-designed vehicles out there? I'm tired of waiting for some company to do this. Why can't we?
