I have an 82 vanagon camper with a 1.9 jetta diesel engine installed by the previous owner. I bought it from him in Colorado and the Colorado mechanic recommended putting a turbo on it to give it more horsepower and gas efficiency. However I cant find anyone in TX to do it, well at least in the Dallas area. So i was wondering if anyone knew how to do it or knew anyone in Texas or close to Texas that would do it.

I'm selling a 1990 Mercedes-Benz 300D TurboDiesel (2.5 L engine). I bought this car a year and a half ago to run on biodiesel, but family issues have caused me to ditch those plans and sell the car. I bought it in a suburb of Philadelphia and promptly drove it all the way home to St. Louis with no problems whatsoever. The car only has 99,xxx original miles and will probably last for hundreds of thousands more. It is also in excellent physical condition for its age. It is white with only minor scratches and dings. Nothing is missing, absolutely no rust, etc. The paint still looks great, too. The dark blue interior is immaculate... no cracks in the dash, seats, etc. All are in very good condition. Sunroof works great and does not leak. I added a new Alpine MP3 stereo system that can connect your iPhone, iPod, or other USB device. Like most of the 300Ds, this one gets great gas mileage... upper 20s in the city and around 35 mpg on the highway. Once again, it was never converted for vegoil or made ready for biodiesel, but that's easy enough to do for anyone interested. It's rare to see one of these cars with this low mileage and in this great shape, so I don't expect it to be on the market long, and I would love for someone interested in biodiesel and/or SVO to get it. The car is centrally located in St. Louis, Missouri.

This vehicle starts every time and runs very well. I installed a FrostHeater brand block heater for easy cold weather starts. As the pictures show, the car is very clean for a vehicle with almost 158,000 miles and has no major issues. I drove this car over 100 miles a day for years. The turbocharger was replaced with an OEM unit at 144,000 miles. The starter was replaced at 137,000 and the glow plug relay at 121,000.

VW diesels are legendary for going forever, and this car is still going strong. But obviously a car with with high mileage like this is going to have a few blemishes, and I've tried to capture them in the pictures. You probably won't notice them while you're DRIVING FOR FREE on used vegetable oil! The clearcoat has peeled off the tops of the mirrors. The headlight lenses are a bit cloudy. The chrome cap on one of the headlights has popped off and is laying inside the headlight housing. There are a few scuffs and scratches and a small rust spot on the edge of one wheel-well. The lid on the center armrest is detached, but I have a replacement unit. It just needs to be installed. Did I mention you can DRIVE FOR FREE on used vegetable oil?

I have a steady supply of anywhere from 500 to a little over 1000 a month. $1.00 per gallon unfiltered. Let me know if you need it filtered. I will filter to 100 micron for an extra 5 cents per gallon. Unfortunately my centrifuge is down and that is the lowest I can go at the moment. 1983 Mercedes 300D, originally manufactured in Germany, 165,000 miles. This car will run FOREVER (usually up to 400-500K, no joke.)

Converted to run on diesel, bio-diesel, SVO, WVO, everything except MAGIC (but I never tried...) 28 MPG, and diesel fuel is cheaper than gas right now. She chugs mightily up hills, on the freeway, a great car.

A/C, newly installed, under warranty, runs COLD.
Manual windows and sunroof work great (electronic ones break down all the time...this avoids those repairs)
Gauges, meters all WORK
RADIO works, but isn't hooked up. Quick, easy fix.

Model 300TD - Turbo Diesel with veggie oil fuel kit (WVO). This is a solid example of 1985 Mercedes Diesel with a Greasel (now http://goldenfuelsystems.com) kit installed. The car runs well and saves a ton of $$$ on diesel fuel. Just collect and filter restaurant fry oil and put it into the tank in the trunk – almost free fuel (you have to buy the filters).

The odometer says 219K, but only works intermittently, so actual mileage is unknown, but probably under 300K. These old Benz diesels are used as taxi-cabs all over the world and have been known to go 500K miles.

The following work has been done in the last couple years: front suspension, rear shocks, motor mounts and front brakes. The car runs well and will easily do 75 on the highway, but does have a cracked windshield that should be replaced. There is some surface rust on the rear wheel wells, but it is fixable. I hate to sell the old girl - she's been very reliable - but, I purchased a 1998 Benz diesel and no longer need the old one.

Did your old plastic Pollak fuel tank selector valve stop working, i.e., leaking, sticking--the plastic gears stripping?

We have been running road tests on this aluminum bodied, 3-port WVO/SVO 12-volt fuel tank selector valve (also available in 24-volt) with easily-replaceable Viton seals. It has 12-mm ports with 1/2 inch NPT threads, a maximum operating temperature of 212° F, it is a bubble-tight valve (which means it is not going to leak like some of the other valves used for WVO) and it even has a small red light that tells you when you have switched to WVO! We have run this valve in VWs, Mercedes, and larger pickup trucks with good results.

Other details you may want to know:
Max operating pressure: 1 MPa (10 bar) = 145 psi
It will take two 3-port valves to replace one 6-port valve.

Have you tested your injectors lately? Do you have the power you used to have? More smoke than you remember? There's that tapping sound that drives you crazy (nailing) ... Or maybe you've been running on WVO (waste veggie oil) for about 50,000 miles -- give or take a few thousand -- or maybe just 100k on diesel or biodiesel. If any of this sound familar maybe you should break down and pop test your injectors! Pop test? If you email me I'll send you a link on how you can build your own pop tester. Have you checked your timing in the last 50k? If not, I'll send you a link that shows you how to do it yourself. So anyway, I have a few good used Mercedes injectors that have been pop tested at 115 bar. Good for a non-turbo 240d ,300d, 300cd.

1998 Mercedes Benz E300 Turbo Diesel, Good condition in and out, very clean car, mechanically and aesthetically. 164,000 miles. Runs great, reliable, all interior features and options work fine, no external damage or dents, no dings, worst exterior feature is a cloudy (due to UV fade) plastic head lamp lens on right side (left side has been replaced already :). Never wrecked, 3rd owner. All power windows, seats, sunroof work fine. Leather. 6 CD audio w/AM/FM (CD changer in trunk), factory. Light gray interior, white exterior. Brakes and rotors all 4 wheels have only 25K mi., tires have about 35K mi. on them, will need tires in 15K mi. Trans fluid and filter last changed at 140K mi. Regular maint. on all systems. Maint records from 2 owners. Exterior paint and clear coat in good condition.

Purchased 2 years ago for WVO (waste veggie oil) fuel conversion but never installed, wife nixed the plan, liked the car too much to allow me to mess with it like that, long story, serious buyers will get to hear it :). So this is a prime car now for that purpose, good price point. I built/converted 2 veggies already (an earlier MB and F250 Powerstroke) so I get plenty of play time with that stuff on other vehicles :) I'm simply done driving a car with high miles like this without going veggie, so I'm selling it to purchase the wife a gas driver and be done with it. I'll continue to play veggie with F250 PSD :) I have all veggie plans, diagrams, filtering, handling, and process in garage, can mentor anyone willing to learn.

One minor issue - Recently began to start rough (idle rough lasting 15 seconds) when cold, so may have one fouling injector or bad glow plug, I have not diagnosed it yet nor do I intend to, since I have already purchased replacement gas car for the wife.
