Second Fuel Tank Necessary? Warm Climate in SoCal

Hello, my name is Jason. I wish to convert a Mercedes 300D to run on veggie oil. I was wondering if it would be necessary to install a second fuel tank, as I live in Southern California where the weather seldom gets below 45-50 degrees Farenheit.

I understand that the point of installing a second fuel tank is to give the veggie oil time to warm up, so that it is not too thick to be run through the fuel lines, etc....

Any advice/pointers/things I should be aware of? I have done some research on the conversion/filtering process, so I believe that I understand what I am getting myself into. I was planning on creating a simple gravity-powered filtration system with buckets/drums.

I appreciate any help/comments :)

Thank you.
