Cheap Veggie oil conversion kit?

I have a 1996 F250 that I want to convert to veggie oil, but I don't want to drop $1,300 on the kit!! where can I find a cheaper kit that is still of good quality? Thanks

Cheap Kit DIY
All the parts needed for a veggie conversion are available at your local hardware store, the big box stores and the junkyard, with the exception of maybe the tank, the fuel selector and a heat exchanger/vegtherm, and any extras you may want like a temp gauge, pressure gauge, mainstream veggie parts, etc. A DIY conversion with a new fuel tank complete with sender (from Bass Pro Shops - best prices) should cost around $500 USD. Unless you get a used tank, like an 18 gal metal syrup/grease/industrial cleaner drum, and other scrap/homemade parts, this is as cheap as it gets. For a list of recommended parts reply to this post and I will send an email. Also get a couple friends to buy a diesel and then you can buy some parts in bulk, like hose for example.

I'm doing the same thing with my 1995 GMC. I have ran some wvo& diesel mix.But I'm looking for a two tank system to build. I have read to many oposing ways to do this also. I'm very mechicly inclined and ready to instal one system.

I live in the Pacific. Do I need any conversion? Avg. temp 87-F. I want to try a 50/50 mix. WVO just filter to 5 microns and mix with petro, no additives. Is it OK?

We're all trying to learn here ! The diesel prices where I live...(Fallbrook, CA specifically; 50 miles N of downtown San Diego) are approaching $5.40/gal. and it doesn't make it any easier to find another way to convert my 7.3L International diesel/Ford duelly to a better, more economical method when you act annoying. Just be nice.

I have been doing mixures for about 3 years...on my VW 84 rabbit and my 03 cummins truck...
I have found that the mixture of filtered grease that works well in most temps is 50% filtered grease, 20$ gas, 30$ diesel..plus U can make some bio diesel and stick that into the mix also...
On any vehicle, I would recommend a coolant heated line and/or filter...

I am very interested in converting waste oil to burn in my 2005 Dodge Dually Diesel. I do a lot traveling and just can not afford to spend what they are asking for fuel these days. On the other hand there are many restaurants and plenty of diesel drivers that would sure appreciate the help. Maybe if we all stick together in big enough numbers we can help put an end to all of this irony.
