Best Backyard WVO Diesel Generator

Hi all,

I'd like to make a backyard generator that runs on waste vegetable oil. Is there a diesel engine that is really, really simple? Can I just plug a refrigerator into it easily?

A marine diesel engine is problably the easiest. They are very simple engines. It would require some tinkering. A power converter. But a secondary power source would be easy to get it started. Marine diesels are designed to run constantly for weeks or months at a time with minimal maintinance.
