I just purchased a 1995 Isuzu NPR tilt-cab box truck, powered by a turbo diesel coupled to a 4 speed electromatic automatic transmission.
The original invoice shows truck as a model # NF100, GVW-14,000
Engine is a 4BD2-TC rated at 135 hp, turbo-diesel with 150,000miles. Runs great. Tranny (has O/D) was replaced 1 yr ago.
Love the truck EXCEPT it only hits 65 mph flat out, without a load. I'm afraid to think what'll be tops while loaded.
What to do? Does it have a governor that can be adjusted? What else can cause this? Shifts fine, has good pickup, O/D working, just won't go more than 65mph.
