I'm planning an engine swap.I have 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser,and I would like to swap the gasoline engine with a 3.9L Cummins diesel engine.But,I'm going to need the complete donor truck to extract the related hardware to the project.Thanks.

I'm looking for ideas of filtering materials that I could find around the house or extremely cheap. i'm broke and can't order any bag filters from FilterSource until I get a check in, which may be a few weeks. (Then the wait for shipping.) I've got about 20 gallons that I've filtered down to 5 microns, but they're now sitting with the unfiltered cubies and I'd like to get something in the old Suburban before I'm completely out of fuel. And since I have about 60 gallons, and I'm broke, I don't want to have to buy diesel. Any body got any idea of what the average household belongings are in terms of micron filtering? Blue jean legs, pantyhose, towels and such? (No, I'm not going to use good ones!) If anybody has any ideas, or a site that gives this information, please reply. Thanks in advance! Lee

I'm looking for ideas for filtering wvo until I can order some more baf filters from FilterSource.com. I have about 20 gallons that I've already filtered down to 5 mics, but I want to run it through once more, just in case I get the wrong jugs. :) I've been off for awhile, and I'm waiting for a check that won't be here for a couple of weeks, so I'm trying to figure out what materials have the same ability to filter oil to 5 microns that i have on hand. I'm thinking old blue jean legs to panty hose, or sheets. Anybody have any ideas? I'd sure like to hear them, because the old truck is thirsty, and I can't see buying diesel when I have 70 gallons of wvo. Thanks for any and all comments. Lee

Hey folks, I've been using 10, 5 and 1 micron industrial bag filters to filter my wvo in for the last 3 years. I'm out of them, and off on work comp waiting for some money to get here before I can order more. What will suffice for 5 micron filters that can be found either around the house or cheap locally? Levi legs? Heavy material? What? As you can tell, I'm still in the primitive genre of greasers. Any ideas (serious ones, please) or information as to what is equal to the above micron filtering would be greatly appreciated. And if anybody reading this knows of any free grease or cheap pre-filtered wvo in southeast Missouri, (St. Louis on south), let me know. Thanks gobs! Butch
